What people said about Maltstock...

I think its a totally unique event there is nothing like it in the world ,its inexpensive, the venue is perfect ,the people who attend are really into malts and they were happy to share their whisky and their stories with complete strangers and when the time came to say goodbye there were no strangers only friends and they will remain that way for a long time.

This is when the Magic of Malt comes alive when its shared willing with people who share the same passion and this event provide the perfect stage for it all to come alive.

Jim McEwan, Bruichladdich Distillery Manager, Scotland

"All Visitors brought one bottle, some even more…all these bottles were placed on tables in the centre square….free to taste for all whenever you felt like. To my opinion this concept worked out very well…… We will come next year again and I hope then there will be more Whisky fans from Germany."

Hannes, Maltallica, Germany

"My best Whisky Experience since I started tasting whisky two years ago….and all this in such a beautiful surroundings, with good food, excellent whiskies and on top of this all the campfire with Jim McEwan…see you all next year, I would not want to miss it."

Steven, Single Malt Waasland, Belgium

"I especially would like to mention the very relaxed atmosphere at Maltstock. My personal highlight of this first edition was the campfire on Saturday night. Jim McEwan and Billy Walker treating the crowd on a perfect and hilarious stand up comedy show. Already looking forward to the next edition!

Sixty Dick, on www.levenswater.nl, The Netherlands

I must say that the session with Billy the Ben Riach Kid round the campfire was one of the most memorable times in my 47 years ,it was so funny it still makes me laugh when I think about it and will do as long as I live, absolutely brilliant it could never be repeated so for those attending what they witnessed was two old guys having a real fun time kicking ass and no offence taken ,This was "The Rumble in the Jungle" Scottish style.

Jim McEwan, Bruichladdich Distillery Manager, Scotland.

"Jim-San, point of order...do all the Islay stillmen have a leather fetish?"

Billy Walker, BenRiach Distillery Manager, Scotland
