Maltstock is not a commercial event. It's the result of an idea we've had for some time. And which we realised for the very first time in 2009. It is indeed great fun to bring together as many whisky clubs as we can and enjoy a great weekend (for reactions on the first edition, please see elsewhere on this website).
We have a great team of volunteers helping out, but of course there are costs involved in facilitating this gathering. With the help of our sponsors we have managed to leave the fee the same as it was last year:

Three days of whiskyfun for just 150,- euro per person

For this you get:
- two nights accommodation at Maltstock, bunk beds in small dorms with shared facilities
- diner on Friday night
- BBQ on Saturday evening
- breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning
- midnight snack on Saturday
- free participation in the Friday night whisky quiz with great prizes to be won
- free masterclasses
- to meet many other clubs and enthusiasts
- to share great whisky together
- to try the whisky from many independent bottlers the distilleries present at Maltstock (please check the "who will be at Maltstock" section for an up to date list)
- taste great and old whiskies from a big Dutch collector
- to listen to the great stories of our industry guests
- enjoy a big campfire (weather permitting)
- to meet people like Stuart Nickerson from Glenglassaugh distillery
- lunch, beer and soft drinks will be available at only a small charge
